While the organization has always had a mix of supporters as well as opponents, for years the organization has provided low-income women a place where they can take care of all their feminine health needs. Although the organization provides women with services ranging from pap smears to birth control, Planned Parenthood also services men and teens.
On the heels of last month’s Texas Relays comes Relay for Life. If you’ve been in Austin for any significant amount of time, you’ve probably heard of it, as it is a unique event. Relay for Life is just like it sounds. It’s a relay, but instead of it being held in the middle of the day in blistering heat, it’s held overnight.
